I tried to play it for the first time a year ago, OP.
The battle system is boring and the overworld's general environment and landscaping doesn't mesh well with the characters.
I got bored of it and stopped playing part way through.
Just to clarify incase of anything, I'm not personally stating outright to go and confront nintendo about this, but I felt it was worth sharing. everything you really need to know is in the actual picture.
