It shows jacob turned off his feelings for anything because of that chance encounter. Jacob went from loyal friend to emotionless husk, the same of which he was fighting. When he sees shepard in 3, he barely wants to talk to them. He doesn't want to be reminded of those events or the man he was so close to becoming.

Are there any games where you play both sides of morality?
Like let's say there's a rebellion but both sides make valid points for their side, and you play a character who's part of the rebellion, then halfway through as one who fights for the pre-existing order.
Kinda hard to describe the vibe I'm going for, the only thing similar is Captain America: Civil War.
