I decided to go see what this neogaf was and why people kept calling it sonygaf.

I don't see a point unless you help other people on your second playthrough. Balance and netcode are garbage in this series for pvp and it was incredible autistic of them to mix up pve with pvp in a singleplayer story game like that.

How should I manage a merchant republic vassal?
I like to have all counts vassalized under the duke and clearly giving a single duke 3 counties is not the best idea (is this true for grand mayors?), but I'm at a loss as to who I should give these counties to without giving his vassals the -30 wrong government type.
I could promote one mayor from the province to a duke but the other country has nothing built there.

It's not garbage, it's just... Fallout 3 again, just a bit better in some gameplay aspects, and worse in RPG aspects.
And Fallout 3 is not an impressive game to release in 2015.
You can see stuff like settlement building could have been GREAT if it had been refined and given a clear goal and direction. Instead it just feels like a beta feature... in a fully released AAA game.
The world is hard to explore, disorientating and not well designed. The NPC AI is still shit. All NPC towns feel like theme parks and don't do a good job convincing you people actually live there.
What else did I miss except the obvious stuff about writings and complete lack of RPG mechanics?
