Something has been really disturbing me about the DK rap.
It may seem innocent at the surface, but I think there's a hidden message trying to push some kind of agenda, or a dark plea for help buried in there somewhere; possibly both.
Firstly, Tiny's lyrics. "This Kong's got style, so listen up dudes" What is this trying to convey? That she is the only one who has style? Is it implying that males cannot, in fact, posses style? The use of "dudes" would lean to this interpretation, as that statement that she has style, so the men should listen implies that they are without style or possibly incapable of obtaining it.
However, there's another layer to this. It isn't simply saying that women have style and men do not. As it feels the need to state that "THIS kong has style." This phrasing would imply style is an abnormal thing that needs to be addressed if one has it.
There is a darker theme to it when we prod even deeper. Lankey Kong is introduced as "He has no style, He has no grace" Why would it feel the need to explain he does not posses style? It implies that at one point he did, in fact , have style. Could Tiny have somehow taken his style? They're both introduced right next to each other. If this is true, then who could have stolen his grace?
The "Dk rap" is a song about a Kong who is a shell of his former self, robbed of all his good qualities, forever shunned by society tho he has committed no wrongs.

First off, are you from Europe or the US?
The best game on the system imo is A Link Between Worlds. If you're in Europe, you can get the game as part of the new player's choice line for somewhere in between 15-20€.
Another gem is Kid Icarus Uprising. But be warned, some people -- especially lefties -- can't get into the controls.
Kirby Triple Deluxe is a great game and should be your first choice if you're looking for something "comfy".
Bravely Default is a must have if you like Final Fantasy 3, 5 or Tactics.

Forced coop. Single player is unplayable garbage.
RE5 was good, fun co-op.
Of course, you can make the argument that co-op ruins the "horror," but of course Capcom was already taking RE in a different direction

Unless he has been practicing for a long time you should try to go into it blind, all fighting games (inb4 hurr durr smash not fightan) are more fun that way.
You'll both grow and develop at the game naturally as you play.
Sheik is probably the best character to quickly and easily git gud with, his air forward normal has an insane amount of power and hits them in a bullshit direction, and there's a pretty decently sized set of damages your opponent can be at where dash-A into j.forward-A just fucking wrecks them.

Yes. If I remember correctly there's like two ways to go and the Jack is in one of those directions? I think that means the fucker gave up before encountering a single enemy.
