PULSAR is one of my recent favorites, rising above Noctis.
Any good multiplayer space exploration games to share? I've played Space Engineers and it wasn't all that enjoyable.(+ bad frames)

Even when I suck at PvP, I love invasions; they give the game a certain air of dread and unpredictability.

i bought it used and i thought the disc was broken or something because the whole thing was laggy and stuttery and very clunky in general, as a kid that made me hate myself thinking i was that bad at video games, but to be fair, i liked shadow's levels.

This was actually done in a much more retro style than the artist generally drew. Bizarre Jelly 5 in 2 looked like his usual stuff.

Okay, so Cloud is a supersoldier, Red XIII is a magical creature, Cait Sith is a robot, Vincent has shapeshifting powers, and Aeris has magical Cetra shit. Why are Barret, Tifa, Yuffie, and especially Cid capable of fighting monsters and Sephiroth? Barret is effectively an ordinary dude with an exceptionally large gun, Tifa trained super hard but is otherwise an ordinary woman, Yuffie doesn't even train hard and is an ordinary girl, and Cid is literally a middle-aged man with nothing except a spear and an overwhelming hatred for everything.

Because every area in the game has monsters. So these characters have lived their entire lives probably defending themselves from them in some way.
All of them use materia.
Why wouldn't they be able to fight monsters, though? They're basically just animals with gimmicks.
What does /v/ think of the unpopular Megaman Zero games?
One of the best things that ever happened to megaman.
I don't think they're particularly unpopular. That said I think they're shit. I love the classic series, and I really like the original Mega Man X (X2 wasn't too bad), but the Zero games irritate the fuck out of me. I dislike the art direction, I think the story is needlessly emphasized, the limited field of view combined with the level design is grating. I tried. I really wanted to like them.
