How do we fix gaming culture? MOBA games and esports have completely destroyed any genuine enjoyment that could have been extracted from this once thriving industry. Now any neckbeard or hobbit girl can venture out from their basement and meet likeminded people at their toxic "conventions" so they can make money off of streaming their shitty speedruns and make disgusting meme jokes that would leave them humiliated if they were to do it anywhere else on this planet. Anyone who takes part in these activities are complicit in a literal crime against humanity. It's like Bolshevism, it spreads and it can't be strangled in its crib. Is genocide the answer?

God, that little mall was comfy as fuck.
I think half the people begging for Megaman Legends 3 actually just want to explore around a pastel-colored mall from the 90's with updated graphics.
Name me a game that will renew my love for video games. I feel so burnt out now. I want to feel the same way I did when I was a teenage playing something new. Now I can buy anything I want and it seems like I just chug through games without stopping to enjoy them to the fullest.
I've played Ori, Fallout 4, Halo 5, Metro Redux, Valkyria Chronicles, Undertale (couldn't finish), Pillars of Eternity (couldn't finish), Witcher 3 (couldn't finish), Wolfenstein: The New Order, Elder Scrolls Online, FTL, and both Kotors (I love these but they don't count because replays). I probably enjoyed Ori the most, and I played Fallout 4 the most.
Nothing is recreating that old joy!!

I've been thinking about creating an Undertale fan game. The only thing holding me back at the moment is my lack of programming knowledge.
The game would be set in the Abyss, a land further underground than the world featured in Undertale, a place that, in legends, is the final resting place of the souls of monsters.
You would be a naive child, who got to this dark and dreary place when your friend convinced you to jump down into a large pit, promising adventures. But now, you realise your mistake, and you are trying your hardest to get back home.
You think of the sun, and continue forward.
This game would feature approximately 5 different endings, secret Easter eggs everywhere, new and interesting environments, and exquisite characters.
I'm still working on a lot of ideas for it, and this is only what I have so far.
Any ideas? What do you think? Could you help me in this project? Thanks!
