Does this game not autosave? I just got killed out of the blue by some bandits and lost the last half an hour of the game.
The map seems convoluted too, I took some side quests from a notice board but the map is unable to show me where the objectives are.
I'm enjoying the combat a lot, but stupid details like that make it really annoying and inaproachable.

It does, but it's quite rare. I think it only saves by itself every time you rest at an inn or progress in a quest or something.

Firstly, there's only 1 maybe 2 spots in the game where you'll encounter more than 2 dogs at once, also, thanks to the way rallying, sidestepping and follow up attacks work in this game compared to DaS, they're infinitely better and more fair fights. If the dog gets a cheap hit on you, you can attack back and get your health back but thanks to sidestepping, you can much more easily dodge the dogs attack and follow up without having to deal with their awkward lunging sidestep they always did after attacks in DaS
Don't even complain about either if you've never experienced the hell of trying to fight that big group of hit and run bastards inside the bridge of 1-2 without a proper shield, those are some bullshit dogs

I personally picked the archer mage on my first run but it wasn't my favourite so I went for greatsword on the ng+
still haven't tried the expansion and I have it sitting on my shelf since day one....

Two questions:
1, I use DS4 through DS4Windows. Normally a game detects it as 360 controller. But for this game it's all fucked into numbers. Why is that?
2, Why doesn't Nvidia detect this game for Shadowplay? Can't display frame rate with Nvidia either.
