What's your favorite Mega Man game? Which game is the essential game for people looking to get into Mega Man who haven't had the pleasure of playing it while growing up?
I like the classic series in general, I can't pick a single game as my favorite. The first Mega Man X is good stuff, too.
If you're looking to see what the series is all about, play Mega Man 2.

Mega Man 6; I really like the story and narrative design. Powers are the best too.
Mega Man X is best game though with Mega Man Legends 2 as a close second.
Best choice for new players... play Mega Man X first. If they like it, play the X2-X6. If it's too easy, play Mega Man 1-6. If THAT'S too easy play Mega Man Zero.
If X is too hard play Mega Man Legends 1 & 2. If they hate all these games and want more RPG elements, play Battle Network and Star Force.
If they don't like any of these, fuck off.

X: 1 and 4
BN: 3
Legends: 2
Zero: Collection (or 2)
Anyone use one of these? Just wondering how well they run or if there worth it. I currently PC game on a laptop and I'm surprised how most steam games run on an average PC really well. I love PC gaming and PCs but it's a price issue that I'm debating.
Why would you buy one? You're paying for the same or more than a console, for what? Csgo and indie games? 60 fps on some titles over the 30 on console? You don't even get the advantages of having an actual conputer, since I think steam machines can only run steam games so no pirating either

But isn't steam mostly indie games? And who says I need to buy one I could easily just build a steam machine.
Also most of the good steam games are 2009 and older. I've seen it run TW3 so it is console standard.

Keyboard, mouse... alright, how I do hook it up to my monitor, or speakers, or charge my phone while playing on it? Is this thing Ouya 2.0 and having a 10lb power brick 6 inches out the backside? Can it be upgraded? If something goes wrong can you repair it yourself? Does it at least have a blu-ray reader on the side?

My last bit of hope was lost when I found out putting in Windowed mode had no actual resolutions, it just gives you an ugly border but refuses to scale down.
That mode was the closest I could get to 60fps, so now it's a bust.

MGS3 was the beginning of the end. The credits song was oddly prescient.

It's not very good, but it's worth a play. The story's awful, the gameplay's pretty crap, but the game has its merits (however fleeting).

Just bought pick relateed (and ALttP), Metroid Prime is one of my favorite games of all time, I hope this shit is good.
