What video game has the most emergent complexity?
Clarification: "Emergent complexity" in this context refers to the amount of detail in the game that is not deliberately programmed in, whether it be unintended features or creative gameplay strategies.

I swear to god, these are the dumbest motherfuckers to ever grace a video game.
Ryoma, a supposed "warrior for peace", denies the party in Conquest entry to Macarath's apothecary when Elise is on the edge of death. This goes against literally everything we've been lead to believe about him.
Xander, a "level-headed prince", despite knowing that his father is no longer sensible and must be dealt with, continues to attack his adopted sister anyway. Why? Cause, um...Well, he's fucked up this long, why not keep up his reputation of being a total retard?
Don't get me wrong, these games are fucking great, but the reasoning behind these two character's decisions leaves me blindsided.

2 was always less satisfying to me as a kid because you were collecting boring orbs instead of freeing dragons and dragon eggs. I always looked forward to the next rescued dragon, even if it was just some THANK YOU FOR RELEASING ME asshole or a palette swap with the same hatching animation as I saw half an hour ago.

Combat, characters being information vending machines and maybe movement speed are my only real issues with the game, otherwise its still the best Elder Scrolls. I think the reason so many people seem to hate it these days is because Morrowind refuses to hold your hand and expects you to learn how build a good character from the start, which is admittedly a bad idea. Until you understand the systems the game uses you're either going to select one of the fucking terrible premade classes or create a useless custom one.
But I still think the newer games in the series fucked up harder.
Oblivion ignored the lore by turning Cyrodil into generic English countryside instead of the vast jungle its meant to be, and making everything level up as you do was a massive mistake. You nerfed yourself heavily if you leveled anything that wasn't combat related. Also bandits in full daedric? Fuck off.
Skyrim was more fun than Oblivion but Bethesda forgot they were making an RPG and removed all the stats and attributes outside of having health fatigue and magicka. The combat may not be MISS MISS MISS MISS anymore but it still sucks at this point anyway.
