Have you played either?
entirely different tone, setting, gameplay, pace, and not to mention HM's soundtrack gives it so much of it's unique flair and style. Haven't played Hatred but the differences between the two are apparent just by looking at their color schemes. HM is vibrant, colorful, with hot pinks and cool blues, the screen flashes vividly upon a kill, and bright red blood is spattered everywhere.
Hatred on the other hand is grey, monotone, flat, dull, washed out, which also seems to be indicative of it's slower paced twin stick shooter gameplay.
they're hardly comparable outside of sharing the twin stick shooter genre.

So why do people say that The Witcher III finally did an open world right? It's just as bad as any other open world game. "Exploration" is just hopping between question marks on the world map and they're almost always Bandit Camp #432 or Monster Nest #643. Besides the question marks there's nothing unique offered by exploring. No real dungeons, and all the content is just found in towns and cities.
Exploring in The Witcher III is like sailing between the Monster Watchtowers in The Wind Waker.

It would take an insane person to solo through everything. But just the village quests, which don't even have multiplayer are 50 to 100 hours of content and then you can solo theoretically anything, so even solo it's potentially hundreds of hours.

So would you say that multiplayer is required for certain quests? I just want to know because I tend to play my games on my train commute and if that's the case then I guess I'll just pick up Bravely Second
There's a single player mode, which was the only mode I played through, which lasted me 73 hours. I didn't ever go and play the online stuff because there isn't any voice communication, and I absolutely hate typing on a 3DS. I heard from one of my friends who has around 600 hours that all monsters have health that's scaled for two players in the online missions, but they're easily manageable with some practice.
Can neo blizzard learn from their past mistakes or will they be repeated once again?
