To start out, I am very new to the 4chan community, as it is very difficult for me to get over the initial trouble of learning the UI. However I love the idea of it and want to invest more time to it.
But I was curious, because I have never really been apart of a Last Of Us community. And I generally just keep my thoughts of it to myself. Were other people as greatly affected by this masterpiece of a game as I was?
The Last Of Us initiated a real turning point in my life. It helped me find my passion for video creation, cinema and just media in general. It was the first game I ever played that ended up being more than just a shoot-'em-up for me. Up until then, I played games like COD and whatnot because it was the fun and cool thing to do. I saw TLOU for sale on G2A and thought it looked like a neat zombie game. I had heard a little bit about it when it was remastered. I bought it because why not. So I went into it thinking t would just be another fun shoot-'em-up. And oh man was I wrong..
You have to understand, I've never cried during anything, a movie, book or game. Fictitious stories don't make me cry. They just don't. 20 minutes into this game and I was balling. I was hooked. And it truly changed me. The story, the art style, the voice acting, the animation, the music, the script. It was all inconceivably well done. It opened my eyes the to art that single player games are supposed to be. And it did the same for movies and books.
Really it all comes down to appreciation. I've learned to appreciate things that I may personally find unenjoyable. It definitely matured me in a way. Those are just my thoughts confined into a few paragraphs..
Was it the same way for anybody else? Did it change you? And in what way?

Because for the first half of the game, he has at least twice health as any grunt, or about the same as any boss, and he's wielding a silver weapon from the get go, plus he's a paladin already, he'll just dominate the shit out of all the non upgraded enemies.
Why aren't game demos no longer a thing?

Salt & Sanctuary is the best appetizer you could get before DKS3. It's a really excellent game with beautiful artstyle and great fun.
The game is developed by a tiny indie-game studio called Ska-Studios who is most famous for the Dishwasher series.
It's a not a particularly long game, but it has a great story, and if you like the souls-series you will most likely enjoy this wonderful game.
The reason I'm making this thread is because I don't feel like the game has been given the attention and applause it deserves.
Hopefully you will give this game a chance.

That is true generally strength weps at all in this game is unbalanced.
It's has been almost 4 years since announcement.
People donated over one hundred ten million dollars.
All we have seen so far is broken proof of concept with no content.
They still charge ludicrous amount of money for their ships.
They still say that it will come out soon.
And people still believe them.

Why are there no good horror games where an entire army is mobilised against a paranormal or eldritch threat?
For the most part you'd be fighting along with your company, completing objectives and liberating territory from monsters.
You'd have parts where you're alone and have to fight for your own survival.
I'm not implying CoD with monsters. More like F.E.A.R with allies.

Why the fuck would you buy a Far Cry game? There are free games where you can shoot at bots for hours on end. Far Cry is a hollow collection of challenges that take 0 skill, kill shitty bots, climb shitty tower, collect 100 things marked on the map etc. It's just dumb waste of time.
