So I've never played the MGS series, and I know it's a very popular series on /v/. I also know that MGS V didn't turn out how everyone wanted it to.
Is it still worth playing the MGS series even though V didn't turn out like you all hoped?

I would suggest Peace Walker as well, though, it'spretty goodand is a blast if you have someone else to play with.
And V isn't bad as a game itself, it's just bad as a MGS game.
Question for those who have played it;
Without spoiling, is it true that greatswords such as claymores are terrible this time around?
Someone said they are too slow but that just made me think he had not played Bloodborne.
Reason I say that is that even if DS3 will be quicker than DS1 and DS2, I still get the impression that it's slower than BB and in BB Ludwig's Holy Blade is perfectly fine to use, it's great even.
For pve that is, I don't pvp in these games so I just want to hear about how well or badly it works in pve.
I havent even played the game, but everything is viable in PvE.
There has yet to be a souls game where you couldnt beat the game with any weapon

Hmm, I wouldn't say that the Drake Sword from DS1 is viable once you hit mid-game.
I mean, you can kill every boss with it, but I don't find chipping away 2-3% hp per hit because it scales like shit as viable.

You heard wrong.
The most blatantly overpowered weapon in the game is a Greatsword and I'm pretty sure there's a WeBm of someone killing the hardest boss in the game in seconds with a Claymore.

DDS1 and 2 are two of the best JRPGs on the PS2. If you liked Nocturne you will like it a lot because it is basically the same battle system. Story is interesting and has a good cast of characters.

This is the latest Omni prototype. It fucking works! There are many videos on YouTube where we can see how a peripherals like this are MANDATORY for a true satisfactory VR experience.
Room scale is cool but limited and teleportation is a plain stupid solution.

Lets talk about FFXV's story
Do you think the four main guys will be the only party members outside of guests? With how this is suppose to be the darkest FF game, I can see at least one of them dying unexpectedly or revealing himself as a spy. Alternatively, I can see Cor being the traitor since he is the guest party member (similar toVossler'srole in FF12).

I'm just kind of baffled that I still don't have a good idea what the game's plot is going to contain.
Or well, I do, it's something about Noctis having to prove himself as a king, but we have seen so many different trailers and all of them contain wildly different locations and events that I have no idea how to link them together at all.
I don't mind not being spoiled about the story, but I'm just confused about what the fuck this game is even about. Are we going to roll around in the car with our buddies the entire game?
