big boss was getting old at the time of tpp, it stands to reason that his voice would change a bit. especially considering his enthusiasm for cigars
if solid snake ever makes another appearance, hayter should definitely voice him. but its come to a point that distinction between characters is necessary. chief kief wasnt great, and he was probably a bad move budget-wise, but it had to be done.
