How do i get into the Guilty Gear lore?

Yup. The gameplay is fluid and really good, but everything else is just extreme mediocrity.

Options are always a good thing, after all. Some racial options would be nice too. Oh and don't forget height and weight. And some pre-established characer backgrounds like in Arcanum! I really want to have a good reason why Marioette stomps on those goombas and GOES "WAHOO". It would really help my immersion.

Heck, the player should decide! Let's have a full on character creator. People deserve the ability to make self-inserts in every game, they can't possibly identify with the main character otherwise.

I like this game, but I feel like an idiot stumbling through the story because I can't remember any of these old European names so I can never keep track of all the past and present actions of the various political groups.
Anyone else have this problem?

with the right gear and abilities, rangers are dps monsters. Both the ranger and their pet got buffed so if you spec your pet for dps you can drop almost any enemy in a few seconds.
They're just not a really fun class to play because of their lack of active abilities, you just stand there and autocrit until everything dies

We're going to get a new Bioshock because that franchise will be milked over the next few years, and Rockstar might actually do something, probably a new Red Dead.

yeah, that series had one of the steepest declines I can remember in gaming. Just replayed the first and it still holds up, whereas everything after that is absolute fucking garbage, especially infinite.
ITT: Satisfying defensive mechanics in games. Not just fighters, either. Stuff like the parry in Bayonetta or the counter from Onimusha.

Dodge offset in bayonetta was pretty sweet. It's like a defensive maneuver but you don't have to entirely stop your offense if you do it because you can continue your combo afterwards.
