Just finished this today, what did you guys think about this walking simulator?
Better than Teltale's ones?
Is it worth collecting all the totems?
I thought it was cool but needed more choices which is hard for a game to do the way it's done in a Choose Your Own Adventure book for kids.
It's better than Telltale's since theirs are just stories that you self-insert in.
Totems are shit and hardly help except the yellow ones.

I remember getting hyped for Brutal Legend because I thought it was going to be a metal based beat-em-up game, but it turned out to be an RTS mostly. Shadow Warrior is a reboot of a FPS game and was exactly as advertised.

All of the characters sucked and I only play as random character models because the main 3 are so bad. Bravo Rockstar, instead of making one likeable/neutral protagonist, you made 3 that are cringey as fuck.

I never liked the multiple protagonist bit. Especially when all three of them are terrible. Michael was....sort of close to being alright, but even then it was kind of dumb.

You have an option not to chose it.
Apart from that its a must in a game that handles guns somewhat realistically or if there is 'stand your ground" moment.
In RDR it adds shitton of immersion as well, when John hides behind something, he winches every time a bullet strikes his cover, has well done cinematic quality animation when he shoots from behind the cover and creates western like atmosphere.
Apart from that if you want all tps to look and play the same then sure.
Just throw away all those additional mechanic and leave barebones.

There's no fucking "immersion" in cover shooting. You're literally able to look over objects and around walls. It has zero to do with actual cover shooting where if you pop your head up you might just be shot by the guy waiting for you. That's why no game uses realistic cover shooting - because it's a shit mechanic.

It's your choice to stand out in plain sight and not use cover. But that would be retarded as fuck. Cover doesn't ruin anything... it's just more realistic that people would use cover.
