What are some games where I can stack skills/abilities to wreck opponents?
Chrono Trigger and Saga Frontier come to mind, but are there others?

One of the minor details that I absolutely love in MH and wish was in more games is that the character you play as isn't "The chosen one" or "The one the prophecy foretold of" or something. You are just some average jobber in a fantasy world just trying to make a living.

Did you never watch End of Evangelion? They had live action footage of death threats sent to the animation studio over the NGE series.

Nope, this fight has two parts, I died the first time vs the first part (was scared after seeing that intro and him pointing the dagger+sword at me, too badass, doubt anything else in the game will leave that terrified impression on me). Then I left that area, couldn't find another path, decided to man up and came back, killed the first part, then at the FIRST TRY AT THE SECOND PART, I beat him :D
Also, just got invaded for first time, rek the invader, damn I am good at this game for a newbie.

It's the echo chamber effect which is starting to become more and more present in communities.
People don't want to challenge their ideas, they just want to circlejerk with people that share their opinions.
This is what makes subreddits so terrible (and it gets even worse with the voting system where they can make controversial posts less visible).
This is why I don't go to any communities anymore for discussion.
