Hi /v/, /k/ here. Have 10 days freetime coming up in a week and need a new (to me) pc game recommendation. I like immersive and spooky all the way to war based games (WWII pref). I know very little about what is out there as I am an old fart.
Here are my favorite single player games (some mp, but liked the sp version):

Mount the ISOs of 2 & 3, and then run their installers like always.
The SH1 is a PS1 rip that you gotta emulate.
The "sh2proxy" fix works as a no-cd crack as well, and is included in the pack.
In case you experience issues saving the game / not being able to edit the disp.ini, make sure the files aren't set to "Read Only", and run the game as Administrator.
If SH2 gets stuck in a black screen upon launch, close it and re-start it again.

Why no both?
For gaming monitors, it seems the only reasonable choice is between Acer and Asus if you want as many nice features as possible and don't mind spending 5-600$.
HDTVs can be difficult to assess because things like input lag aren't necessarily advertised, so you need to do a bit of research. When I shop for HDTVs I want something not more expensive than 1000$, LED (OLED is still too expensive), not higher resolution than what I need for consoles (hence 4K is still not something worth paying extra for), as low input lag as possible (below 30 at least), solid pixel response times, and the best overall image quality you can get at that price point. A nice assortment of apps are a nice bonus, but with a ps4/Xbone you can do without. I got a 2014 model Sony Bravia with 14ms input lag that I think meets all these requirements quite nicely while still being affordable.
I do all my gaming in a big TV,also note that reading visuals novels on a tv is great and really pleasant

I'm very grateful that there are not many games based on the civil war.

In all seriousness, what went wrong?
1-pursue of gimmicks by Iwata (DS, Wii)
2-said pursue of gimmicks was successful (both consoles sold a shitton)
3-they're trying to repeat the Wii success with the gimmicks, leaving us with underpowered consoles (even more than their competitors, I mean, consoles nowadays are ridiculous)
4-Miyamoto is going senile, ruined Paper Mario
5-IS focused on the waifu aspects of Fire Emblem, and left the gameplay for dead
6-they refuse to release a console Pokémon game
at least they still release some good exclusives

Everyone on this board will say its shit, but I enjoy it. They constantly add new content online at least once a month, more sometimes. Check out all of the content update videos on their youtube channel to see if it tickles you fancy.

Is this game any good? I've been thinking about getting it on PC.
Dunno about the PC version (ran like shit on my old toaster but well, that was a toaster) but I know it works fine on PS3 and is a pretty fun game. Can't imagine it costs more than like $10 these days either. Overall pretty good.
