Got all in pic related over the last couple weeks for a total of $213.50. There's also another gamecube that I got that isn't in the picture.

Those aren't awful prices, but they aren't that well either. Why 3 copies of Melee of they weren't insanely cheap though?

No anon, you got it wrong. it would take FIVE BILLION YEARS to explore all the planets. That's like 365 planets a year, so it's far more.

Be honest here. Could the new doom have even worked if it was truer to the originals? Actually think about it. It has been a long time since this games release. Did you people actually want Doom to play exactly like Doom only in a modern game engine?

What happened to Halo?
Just a series that never decided to drastically shake up it's format, rather make minor alterations to the overall scheme.
Personally I like that approach but I'll admit the series did peak at 2, in terms of multiplayer of course. 2's plot was shit.
They took a really good idea and executed it pretty well, giving consoles a competitive shooter that it sorely needed. This was good, it got tons of people playing, and it got popular. So it spawned a really great sequel, and a pretty damned goof third game. I was content and thought the series was going to end. It had ended perfectly, and it was a trilogy of bretty gud sci fi shooters with solid gameplay, a good story and fun and surprisingly deep lore.
Then they announced Reach and I was like okay, this could be good. I had read the books and figured it'd be fun. It was, but it was heavily flawed and a pretty different animal. I preferred the old version and said at least there's nothing left to tell, so it's over.
Then the writer, Joseph Staten, left the company, the franchise changed hands to "343i", a new company formed of several old members of Bungie with the intent to make a
new Halo. But not the original writer, or the original designer.
So we got Halo 4, and it was a travesty. Changed or misinterpreted literally everything that had made the older games so good. It took what Reach did wrong and did it as much as it could. It was awful. I've no interest in Halo 5, it's like watching a beloved old friend die of cancer.

Personally I think he's a fuckton better than he was in Melee, at least one of the best swordfighters in Smash 4.
