I was looking forward to the new 3DS yugioh and hoping it would be good after the previous butchered game we got.
Sup /v/. I'm a huge fan of Marvel comics, but I realized today that I've never actually played any of their licensed videogames. I've always glazed over them.
Well I've got 3 months of free time, so I want to fill it with marvel vidya. What would you recommend are must plays, or just really good games in general? Games to avoid? Doesn't matter what system or time, I can probably emulate and or find it cheap.
Tldr: Help me create a marvel vidya backlog.
Marvel Ultimate Alliance is the best answer. Then play the sequel if you don't mind a downgrade.

What are some theories about games you have that you've never confirmed? For instance, I'm pretty sure if you shoot one shot of a full clip on a weapon in Resident Evil 4 and leave it with one shot missing, the game.will give you more ammo for that weapon type, but I don't know how to find out if I'm right or not.

Like in DS3 you randomly get Ectus flasks back from killing enemies, but no one knows what triggers it or when/why.

RE4 has a difficulty slider in normal mode. It will give you mote ammo drops if you waste more bullets. Also it will not give you ammo drops of weapons you havent bought/adquired. Fixed ittems arent affected by this.

The ammo drop system of re4 is quite well known already. The game drops ammo for weapon that you have less ammo for.
What comes to secret features in games, The Game Developers Toolkit channel on YT did a fine video about re4's dynamic difficulty level

Get it right m8y, Dark souls 2 SOTFS would be Grand Lance, vanilla would be something completely else because you don't get it till LATE in the game.
What's wrong with the Grand Lance?
Dark Sword is more of a tryhard weapon in DS3. A scrub weapon would be something like a Raw Astora's Straight Sword.

If a 2D genie suddenly appeared on your monitor and offered to make any game you desire be released tomorrow, with enough of a fanbase for continual updates, multiplayer, etc., what would you wish for?Yesterday's thread got suddenly archived, probably because of off-topic WWII discussion. Let's try to avoid attracting a janitor's ire this time.
I'll start off with something I've wanted since I was a little kid: A flight simulator that lets you play as a dragon.
By which I mean, a game which replicates dragon flight to the same level of fidelity that flight simulators replicate the flight of airplanes. That means controlling pitch and roll through wing movements; but also using the wings for propulsion and aerobraking which lets you move in ways no plane can replicate.
For instance: say I'm being tailed by smaller, more agile dragon. So I go into a climb, and continue almost to the point of stalling... Then suddenly sweep back one wing and aerobrake with the other, which arrests my momentum and sends me spinning... so now I'm facing the enemy with all four claws, like the world's deadliest catcher's mitt. Now we're ripping each other to shreds in free-fall, but my size gives me the advantage. I stay on top, detach at the last second, and narrowly recover from the stall while my opponent slams into the ground.
Now, set this game in a Dieselpunk world, and we can pit faster and more numerous prop planes vs larger yet more maneuverable dragons. Also, it'd be cool to peel open a tank like a giant tin can in the midst of a WWI-esque trench war. (With German orcs, French elves, English gnomes... And the story is told through the war diary of a simple hobbit stuck in the trenches, so very far away from home...)

There is no combat mechanics, only a stealth mechanic with a horror system where witnessing atrocities causes you to suffer traumatic triggers that will ineveitably happen. From nonstop rain of mortars to watching your fellow people get executed or gun down by superior soldiers. You have no means of fighting back, all you can do is run.
What settings are underused in videogames? Alt-history is one of my favorites but it's not that prominently featured.
