Every thread about the new expansion has a lott'a people gushing about Regis and how he's back. Talking as someone who's played all the games but never read the books, could anyone explain what makes this so awesome?

Phantasy Star Online, oops. It's the game that came out before Universe. It's a lot different, and a lot more fun. It's more based around hunting items instead of grinding shit to make items
Today I'm being visited by my nephew and he always wants to play on my PS4. I though about giving him latest Ratchet & Clank to play, but I already beat this game and have my save ready to start a NG in a near future (challenge mode). But it would be too difficult for him, I wanted to give him a new game experience on easy mode, so what happens if I select new game now after I beat this game? Will I lose everything? Or does it create another save?

Does the new R&C have multiple save slots? I know the old ones did. Try hitting new/load game to see if it brings up that 'create new file' screen. Otherwise, no.

I assume it's because the new movement speed would have made it too difficult to duck into cover to avoid them in time, or that their attacks were just too different for the modern shooter audience.
The best and plausibly only way to fix MMOs is sandboxes instead of theme parks. Prove this wrong. Protip: you probably can't.

I'm 20 and I can go without vidya, and do, but I still absolutely HAVE to have played even 5 minutes of literally anything on a console, handheld, or PC before the day is done.

ah, forgot I'm also replaying FF13. I got it as part of that $10 mystery box SE released this christmas. I've beaten it already and forgot most of it (erased it from my head), so I decided to play it in order to relive my hatred for everything about that game, and what do you know, its still a horrible mess. Also got Type-0 for the Ps4 and I can't force myself to play that game any longer as well, I hate the combat and story so much.

There literally isn't a game on the market on any device that looks as good as Uncharted 4.
