I bought a Wii U last year but now I regret that decision. I've been thinking about selling it and then possibly getting a PS4 but I'm hesitant to buy another console. Should I only game on my PC and never touch consoles ever again?

>The Postmodern RPG subtitle came from the fact that we wanted to convey that it was an RPG as when people saw just a screenshot of the game they thought it was a "Hipster Simulator." YIIK: An RPG didn't really have any punch to it... so, as the game was influenced by Haruki Murakami, and David Foster Wallace (in terms of subject matter), we decided to push the genre of story telling in the title. Some things to note though. The game is quite coherent, we didn't just call it postmodern because it wasn't lucid, and we wanted to justify how 'weird it is.' none of that nonsense. The game's battle mode (which isn't featured properly in this trailer, as this is a really old look at the game before we finished the battle mode and when the game was in pre-alpha) is all about genre blending, so it's a pastiche of other game genres. Platformers, puzzle games, action game, rhythm games, as each attack has it's own minigame that is unique that comes from a different genre of gaming. As for how the narrative is postmodern, the game uses intertextuality to tell it's story. It revolves around a message board known as ONISM1999, which the hereoes are users of. This is updated as the game goes on, and the player will often interact with NPCs through the games message board. Not unlike how House of Leaves is about a book, about a movie, that doesn't actually exist. There are various other things, but this will hopefully be enough of an explanation. And of course, it's also used so people ask this question and notice the game!

I just finished pic related and I don't really understand all the hype surrounding this franchise. I mean it's good but not amazing. I suppose it would've been groundbreaking for the time but it's kinda so so nowadays.

It's not great really the sound effects are terrible, the guns feel terrible and the environments are bland. Valve essentially dont know how to make games. They've made about 3 good games in their entire 20 year history and two of those were ideas stolen from other people
