I'm gonna try to be realistic here. Their ambitions to create one of the biggest action RPGs of the time the game is released always seems to sort of show. Most of the games in the series always shot high and usually they don't fail at it. Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim were at least okay, and you couldn't call them failed games at all.
I'm assuming it's the same thing for TES VI, and hopefully it isn't as bad as Fallout 4, or worse yet, just based off of TESO mechanics and Genericfantasylandia
If they use the same dialogue system from FO4 and keep the stupid dungeon designs (they will) then I can see it being even worse than Skyrim.
But this time my expectations will be rock bottom, so maybe it won't be as bad.
skyrim is an abomination just because its story is limited to nords, nords and dragons. fallout 4 is not a scale i hope, because oblivion is a gud game, scope and all, except that daedra things, and i sincerely hope they'll make some non restricting story and gameplay in tes6. thank ye.
So to get a Doom related discussion in that ISN'T about the new game, lets talk about this.
Was making the game literally entirely new a better idea? Was Nintendo in the right simply making the game its own thing rather than just make a halfway decent port of the original game.
I've never actually played Doom 64 but I've heard its not horrible, but its always been so strange to me they released a separate game, rather than just try port the original like everybody wanted at the time.
I remember enjoying it when I was like 15 but it's objectively worse than the original game and the monster redesigns were kind or retarded in retrospect.

Doom 64 has a few flaws but overall it was really good. It's up there with the first two.
Was it worth it to make a new one? I don't know. I'm not sure how much money was spent making that game or how much it made in return.
It was always a new game. They weren't even gonna call it Doom. Just 'The Absolution'.
But the Doom brand sells better, so in it went.

It's because you focus on the ragers and it makes you forget or fail to notice that there also are people who enjoy playing the game.
I'm partly guilty of it too, and I think this is a large reason there is so much tension in an average match: valid criticism is perceived as another idiot raging at you for a small messup, etc.
Nevertheless, there's no denying this game has a lot of ragers, but this applies to any team game. I've been raged at harder in Quake Live than in Dota, for example.

No, it was literally edgy bullshit. In general, the X series was a mistaken 90s attempt to make a good series more 'cool' and 'mature'. The music was pretty good, but aesthetically it lost the charm of the earlier titles. They should have made it an entirely different series and not called it Mega Man.

I'm working on a turn-based RPG set in a Bloodborne-style universe. I need some opinions though. What do other anons want out of turn-based combat? I only have a simple system that allows for basic attacks that don't cost action points and special attacks that do cost action points.
I just realized my art's shit and my human figure is botched and have 0 time to improve it and can't even try to improve it without feeling like shit
that's a little bit of a setback. Half the foes are anthropomorphic chess pieces, so it should only matter for like 1-2 foes
