I played MGS V on release and hated every second of it, getting every achievement just to squeeze as much out of it, and was sure I would never replay that piece of shit.
Eight months have passed since then and I am suddenly feeling an urge to replay it.
Anyone else familiar with this feel?

WHY IS THE WRITING IN THIS GAME SO FUCKING TERRIBLE??
The main quest was uninspired dogshit, sure, but I honestly liked all the little stories that you can find when you explore all the different buildings. Some sidequests were fun as well. Bethesda was never good at writing main storylines, except for maybe Morrowind.
Because Emil Pagliarulo is a hack with daddy issues, even the interns who write minor shit like terminal logs are better than him

I wouldn't say so. Making tons of drones is expensive, and the drones themselves are slower and clunkier than a well-organized system of belts.
They are good for moving specialty items, but I still primarily use belts.

So, there's something that's been bugging me as I replay The New Order. What's the point of killing Deathshead as the main objective outside of a revenge story and him being a decent antagonist? In universe, the man is a hundred years old and note likely to live a couple of more years anyway. Wouldn't trying to kill Hitler (who's apparently still around because the guards will mention him occasionally) or local governors work to your strategic advantage better? If they do a sequel, the Nazi's still have his crazy advanced tech so it's not like killing him stopped the super soldiers or mecha dogs from being made (fuck those dogs). Just seems weird to focus on him since he's so revered in the regime, but also old as dirt and it seemed like there would be bigger fish to fry.

I started playing in the 80s, so I've pretty much seen the whole evolution in the gamiBack then, we had a lot of new experiences pretty much every year because the industry was so new.
Today, we only have the same repeated FPS and sports games, plus the super high budget Hollywood titles with a focus on storylines and mediocre gameplay masked by said storyline.
Today, the only games I buy are the ones based on sex appeal. OK, Splatoon was good to because it felt fresh. But Mario, Zelda, CoD, FIFA, Pokémon and more are milked to death and they don't provide new experiences anymore.
Anyone else who feels the same?
