It didn't score badly at all, it's got a 79 on metacritic. That said, it's an adventure game which does not have the same appeal as something like The Last of Us, and has some performance issues.

What are some necessary CRPGs? I know of Baldurs Gate and Planescape but not much else. POE came out a while ago and seemed interesting, but I'd rather play the classics first.
Also, are the enhanced editions okay? I seem to remember hearing negative things initially.

Kirby games are terrible. You have a character that can fly but you don't incorporate that into your levels at all. You have a bunch of powers but they don't mesh well with the level design or enemies. The games are piss easy. Kirby is awful.
Kirby spinoffs such as Pinball Land and Canvas Curse are great though.

highly recommend 16 gigs of ram. if you're using windows 10 itll eat even all of that up at times. i think for $300 you can find a better GPU than a 970 at this point but I haven't checked. If you can spring for a bigger HDD do it, 1 tb isn't shit and it will fill up very fast.

Well, it's finally done, Dragon Quest II is the vaguest game I have ever played, I can see why you guys said to move straight to DQ3 after 1.
Wasn't too bad until Rhone and Hargon continent. Fuck Rhone. Fuck Blizzards and Batboons.
Now, what version do you guys recommend for Dragon Quest III? I have heard that the GBC is the definitive version, but there also seems to be a fan translated SNES version.
I am looking to start this series from the start as well OP. What platform should I play DQ1 on? And should I skip two? Is it worthwhile?
