Got EOU1 on sale. What should my team be? I was leaning for more of a general utility layout, with either a landshark or a ronin plus an alchemist doing the general DPS, with the requisite protector and another unit running general support to keep everyone in fighting form, plus one other unit doing buffs or debuffs, but I'm open to more adventurous and experimental builds.

I think DS1 and DS2 are the modern peaks of survival horror and this game was really shit compared to them, especially DS2. No mind games, no real scenes where you're like "hoooo shit" (mother cradling necromorph baby in titan nursery DS2, most of MC's hallucinations in DS2)

Mount the ISOs of 2 & 3, and then run their installers like always.
The SH1 is a PS1 rip that you gotta emulate.
The "sh2proxy" fix works as a no-cd crack as well, and is included in the pack.
In case you experience issues saving the game / not being able to edit the disp.ini, make sure the files aren't set to "Read Only", and run the game as Administrator.
If SH2 gets stuck in a black screen upon launch, close it and re-start it again.

I got a DSi from eBay and Im looking for some dope games to buy. I got Pokémon Platinum from a friend, and Ive been looking for some Mario and Kirby games. What else do you have in mind?
What do you like to play? Kirby Super Star Ultra is a definite if you're looking for Kirby, I also liked Mass Attack, but it isn't a traditional Kirby game by any stretch.
My top DS games are The World Ends With You, Tetris DS, and 999, but any of those may not be up your alley.

How does that work? Was the PSP/DS audience really so casual that having Angry Birds on their phone killed their desire for a handheld console? Handhelds consoles are cheap, offer a way better gaming experience than smartphones/tablets, and last much longer than a smartphone/tablet does (spending $200 on a Vita that'll last you 5+ years is a much better deal than a $600 iPad people will use for 2-3 years). I don't really think the market for handhelds is dead, they just needed better marketing and more games to appeal to a wider audience this generation.
PC gaming will eventually kill console gaming, we've seen a year on year decline for the last 5 or so years and the pattern is consistent. The reason why handheld gaming was killed so quickly is because how strong, fast and accessible mobile gaming was. It was sold on the basis of value and functionality thus the consumer would naturally have a hard time justifying spending $200 on a standard device that only really did one thing well which was gaming, especially when an alternative with 10 times the power was available, and in theory could do gaming better but never actually did because you can't replace physical buttons.

Worth it? I play no other Blizzard games so the Origins edition seems totally not worth it to me.
I've been so fucking bored lately because I have nothing to do that's not working or sleeping, and I like the IDEA of this game. I did enjoy TF2 for maybe 40 hours or so before putting it down.
I just can't seem to tell if /v/ likes this game or not, and I'm not really basing my decision on that, I'm just wondering what people feel about the pros and cons of this game.
