I figured out the problem with E3. They don't show real gameplay.
All these trailers are just pre-rendered movies that rarely show any mechanics.

Even the japanese are hyped for Horizon, that's not something western devs can do easily.

It's one of the games that showed the most gameplay. But to be honest, we all know it ran on a 5000$ PC and it's going to be downgraded and features are going to be cut. The game itself didn't look that interesting too.
The games that looked the most interesting were arma and mount and blade but they barely showed any footage.

Every few years people get cucked by Sony's hype machine, but eventually they come to their senses.
Cucked by PS1 --- PS2 (sold far less than reported. It did 70 million max.)
PS3 was where virtually everyone jumped the shit ship.
People got cucked by the PSP and jumped ship really fast. Vita died a quick death. Rest in piss.

Too bloody right.
Let them have their period of exclusivity if they think it will help peddle a few more console sales. The important thing is that they're actually at least going to make some money on PC afterwards.
Exclusivity might sell hardware but it comes at the expense of the developers losing out on sales.
I think things have changed. At the time it was just a Sony partnership but in the intervening 7 months they have seen the public support and love for Kojima and know that is a huge draw so they stepped up their partnership into a full funding/publisher deal and made it PS4 exclusive.

I'm sure there were a few people who were legit just huge fucking fans of video games and got tickets on the cheap but I doubt there's anyone who wasn't professionally tied to video games there that expensed $995.
