Now that the dust has settled on Dark Souls 3, where does 2 stand? Lots of people give it shit, but I think it's a better game overall than 3.
Bloodborne > Dark Souls > Nioh demo > Dark Souls 3 > Demon's Souls > Dark Souls 2 > Salt and Sanctuary > Not playing games > Lords of the Fallen

I want to say it's worse than DaSIII but I played around 300 hours of DS2 and put down 3 after 50 with no desire to touch it again.
I was really disappointed that they threw away EVERYTHING that was tried in DAS2 and BB and made a highly iterative sequel based only on DaS.

I don't get it. Even a retard can make 2 of his 6 shots hit while casually hiding behind Reinhardts and Roadhogs and they cause ridiculous damage.

Blizzard is the worst at balancing games. Yes, Fan the Hammer used to be overpowered, but if our only choice is overpowered or useless for that particular ability, just fucking redesign it like you did Defense Matrix.

Not just the video games themselves but the entire industry. Everything about them. Even the way you feel when you think about them. Or play them.
It feels like I've awoken from a really bad dream. Not a scary nightmare, but the kind of uncomfortable dream that seemed real, but slightly off. The kind of dream that makes you breathe a sigh of relief when you wake up.
Video games are supposed to be fun, so why does it feel like I've just 'escaped' from them? What's going on, /v/? I'm very confused right now and don't really know what to think. I feel lost. I feel like an old friend has turned their back on me without explanation. I feel like this whole thing has been an illusion.

I used to think similarly to you until I started looking around games I never tried and avoiding most AAA games. There's still quite a few good vidya beung made and it's more widely available than ever before. The industry is too big for its own good and arguably the Western industry is killing it as well, but don't worry, just have a little optimism and quit letting daily shit news or shitposters bring you down. Also helps to play vidya more sparsely and take some breaks.
