I need some help. How do you take cities in Civ V without incurring a warmonger penalty for the rest of the game?
I like to play as Rome, and with Rome you have a power spike as soon as you start building Legions/Ballista. Naturally I want to use that power spike to conquer shit and build myself up a lead before they become obsolete. The problem is if I ever take so much as one city in 300 AD, the rest of the game my diplomacy is fucking ruined because everyone hates me and there's no way to change that.
What do?
Disregard diplomacy, take advantage of your military lead, and keep conquering.
Or, if you care about diplomacy, then stop conquering.
make a trade deal with a civ to declare war on a city state then liberate it to remove the warmonger penalty

Would seem to me that Destiny, Eternia, and Destiny 2 would be most similar to Phantasia, but I'm mostly going off the way combat is set up being similar.
Other than them, Symphonia is recommended for newcomers and is actually a prequel of sorts to Phantasia.
If you've played only the SNES version, play the PSX version and vice versa. The two versions are different enough to warrant playing through each.
