Hoi. I was wondering : what would a musou game be like with politics ?
Like, imagine the story. The third world war has started because Donald Trump attacked North Korea. In Europe, side were chosen : France, england and germany sided with Trump. Russia, China and Japan sided with Corea. While the war rage on, Barrack Obama is creating a private army to take back power, kill Trump and stop war.
For the characters, you have Trump who use a tank canon he holds in one hand, Obama has two crossbow, Hollande has a giant blue-white-red steel ball attached to a chain, the queen of england has a gatling gun, Putin has a giant hammer and a M16, the emperor of Japan has a gundam suit with canons, Angela Merkel has two chainsaws, Chinese president is just a kung-fu master and Kim-Jung-Un has a giant saber.
How course it's a musou, you need LOTS of characters, so those are just ideas. You could have dead characters, just for giggles and for additional missions, like Adolf Hitler, Stalin, De Gaulle, Abraham Lincoln, Benjamin Franklin, etc.
In battles, you'd have missions like "Obama's army is approaching the white house ! Stop them !", or "Slay Donald Trump before he launches the missiles !".
All of it with rock remix of national anthems, and with additional skins like a superman costume for Obama, a Homer Simpson skin for Hollande, a Zelda dress for England's queen, an uncle sam suit for Trump, etc !
So, honestly. This would be hilarious, don't you think ?

Nope. Never even finished the first Adventure mode map.
Its fun but it gets kind of repetitive after a while. Like with all musous, I suppose.

So I just finished this game today.. or rather last night.
Having played both 3DS titles, Shinovi Versus on the Vita and Estival Versus on the PS4, I can say that, while the Vita, PC and PS4 have the better looking game and smoother experience. Senran Kagura 2 is the best game of the series. (unfortunately since its on 3DS and relies less on lewds its often ignored)
In terms of difficulty, SK2 is the hardest, doesn;t mean much when the other games are piss easy, but at least in this one, the enemies are relentless, they are very aggressive and constantly attack,
Game doesn't level you up to save your life that often, in burst, SV and EV, you leveled up quite often and easy so whenever you were running out of HP or didnt have scrolls to use your specials, you would most likely level up 2 or 3 times per stage, not in SK2 it takes longer to level up and more often than not you only level up once or maybe twice (if lucky) per stage.
Gameplay wise, the game tries using different mechanics via the tag team system, which lets you switch your character on the fly and continue combos or perform special techniques with both characters.
Combos are more varied and or more interesting in SK2, as a mainly Mirai player, I was pleased to see how I could switch between gatling gun, grenade launcher or regular umbrella and would open up different combos for each, or have different types of combos for all characters, which are more usefull than ..say ... EV were you have tons of combos but in the end you only end up using 1 because the others dont matter or the enemy is too easy that just mashing wins out every match.
Enemy design, Senran Kagura 2 actually has monsters in it, though at first monsters are usually small and Ball like, you do get to fight more than just ninjas in suits like in Burst, SV and EV, this is a very welcome change, you also get to fight giant enemy bosses as opposed to just fighting the enemy ninja girls like in the previous title except Orochi in Burst

Enemy bosses are as usually just mash buttons while attempting to evade screen wide attacks or homing attacks, most arent dificult but are a welcome change in the series.
Story, well this one does have a continuous story, the game starts right at the final batles of Burst so if you havent played Burst, and want to try out this game, you can either play Burst or watch the anime and jump onto SK2, there is plenty character development in this game as the renegades (crimson squad) now fight along side the Hanzo academy girls, and its not just about pervy things (which some might or might not like) overall the game really tries taking a more serious tone in this one than in the previous entries.
Music, to tell the truth I could barely listen to the music of this game, but Im a big fan of SV and EV, so for now I believe those have the better music for now, most of the time the music was drowned out by the special FX and constant talking or grunting from the girls or enemies.
