The fact that they mention every single fucking episode that he is dead makes me think there is a twist coming. Every single fucking episode Brienne, Roose, Melisandre, or some other faggot has to say that Stannis is dead. Robert should've progressed beyond that, such as Braavos or whichever other states. If not give independence to each realm, then at least turn it into a sort of elective monarchy where houses would rule amongst each others with rulers still being appointed on throne for life to manage it, but their successors only managing their individual realms. That would contribute to stronger realms, Crown as the stabilizator of the realms and it would always assure that the best existing candidate rules.
