I don't know if it's the way he's scripted or the way Gillen plays him, but he never comes across as someone who people would be persuaded by and certainly not someone people would trust. It is insane that GOT is as big a hit as it is. In 2009, if you told someone that an adults only fantasy series centered around dragons and inbreeding that can only afford to show a battle once a season would be THE cultural phenomenon of the English speaking world they would say you're insane. Please also think about how few shows in the history of television have actually gone 8 seasons and how incredibly slim the odds were even once they got the greenlight for season one.
I know it is really fun to backseat drive and shit on executive decisions, but these two guys have somehow convinced the world to spend HALF A BILLION DOLLARS creating a nerdy ass show that gives most of us in this sub a lot of pleasure every Sunday. They really have accomplished something amazing.

If anything, I am disgusted that I need to share all those moments of surprises with worthless showfags. Still better than waiting for the old man to finish the books, but it pisses me off that I've been waiting for the story development for 5 years (or 8 years in some cases), showfags waitied for 1 year and now they can watch it the same time I do.
I know it would be stupid and illogical, but in the world of my feelings, showfags should wait for 8 years before watching next episodes.
