Anyone else feel like the show has turned into a soap opera, where each season springs a new dilemma. I feel like The red wedding and the war of the 5 kings was so long ago, and the effects of them are barely seen in the show now that they feel inconsequential. The story just feels like it's drifting, characters arcs are doing 180's because theres still a few seasons to go (Jaime for example goes through somewhat of a redemptive arc, when he's captured and brought to Kings Landing by Brienne, but then immediately just reverts back into a douchebag who wants to fuck his sister).
Why not just have the whole show start midway through Season 3? At this point, how much content from the earlier seasons has actually led up to a storyline that we're now watching? Ever since TRW, every episode feels the need to shock you by killing off a main character, but it's not shocking at all. No one expected Ned to die in Season 1 because he was kind of the main character. No one expected Robb and Catelyn to get murdered by their allies at a wedding. There were more to the scenes than just shock value. They had a real impact on the story. Now it's just Ramsay killed Roose/ Sneks killed Doran.....ok! guess that plot is just over now? Yeah, i dunno

3. She trains with no eyesight and gets good at the stick-thing. Warging into a cat helps her a bit. She also unlocks her warg abilities.
4. She gets her eyesight back after learning these new skills.
5. She's given a "pretty face" and told she will be working with someone new.
This is where the books leave us. The sample chapter has her working at a carnival of some sort, where she kills again. There's also some suggestion of her working with a famous smith or something.
Anyways, it's a lot more interesting and makes a lot more sense, character-development-wise, than in the show.
For some reason you always get responses from people with poor reading comprehension/memory to this type of post and they have something to say about how GRRM was just as boring as the show, or nothing is really happening, or whatever. It's wrong.
