After this one, the damage control from Disney will surprise you.
Interstellar is a paradox AMIRITE?? Prove me wrong then m9.
The bootstrap paradox is what type of paradox i think it is:
"The bootstrap paradox, or ontological paradox, is a paradox of time travel that refers to scenarios whereby items or information are passed from the future to the past, which in turn become the same items or information that are subsequently passed from the past to the future - this creates a circularity of cause-effect such that the items or information have no discernible origin. Thus, the paradox raises the ontological questions of where, when and by whom the items were created or the information derived." - wkikiped
A funny example is to consider how a chicken cannot send an egg back in time that becomes itself because there would have been no chicken to then send the egg in the first place.
In the film this translates to cooper not being able to send the data back in time to tell himself to go to the NASA facility in the first place.
Pic related: your tears on realising your life is a sham. I'm right and the movie wrong.
Christ almighty, nobody changed the past in Interstellar you mong.
The messages he sent were interpreted and followed at the present time on Earth. The only shenanigans that were present were basically alternate dimensions plastered together (which is basically part and parcel of time travel)
Bump. Surely someone is intelligent enough to challenge this.
Just ONE question..
Im high as fuck so excuse me in advance
But if an event is stuck in a time travel paradox, will it last forever?
What about when the death of the univere occurs in our reality, our timeline, would it affect the paradoxed event?
Fuuuuuuuuck im stoned

Hey /tv/, /mu/tant here. I know very little about film, as I have been, until now, only peripherally interested. However, I am looking to get into film, and am initially interesting in how the psychedelic aesthetic manifested in film. Can anyone recommend some "psychedelic" films?
Watch this.
2001 Space Odyssey ending

Not very psychedelic, but it has some moments
Western Thread.
I told you I would shoot but you did not believe what I was saying to you and that I would in fact do what it was I was saying

What's the worst western you all saw?
I'm going with this one
I'm working on SW7. Here's the deal: We're allowed to talk about material that's been already released. I'm going to reveal as much as I can about the trailer, hopefully without breaking NDA.
I'm going to describe the scenes chronologically.
>1. 2nd scene is just after the star destroyer crashed on Tatooine. Droid P-R (pronounced PEAR or PIERRE) is rushing to the crash site. You can actually see the star destroyer's wreck's reflection in the droid's eye. He isn't looking at the camera to be cute, he's looking at the wreck. It's the very beginning of the movie.
>2. Stormtroopers are a part of a mission to retrieve the cargo from the wreck. It's a very important cargo. The main baddie is with them, though not in the shot - it mirrors the Tantive scene from ANH. First shot, there's Boyega among stormtroopers (he jumps out and deserts soon after), second shot is after they landed.
>3. 1st scene - After the attack from earlier scene plays out, it's the next day, Boyega, a deserter, wakes up knowing that he's now fucked.
>4. 4rd scene... Two scenes actually. First is from the beginning of the movie when Daisy's character goes to the star destroyer, second is when she got some interesting cargo, including Luke's lightsaber. She then drives to Max Von Sydow's place. As for his identity, it's very interesting. Let's just say he was in TPM and has a VERY GOOD REASON to be mad at Palpatine and the Empire overall. And he loves democracy, oh, he loves it.
>5. Millennium Falcon escaping from Tatooine with the "cargo".
>6. A Sith training scene. It's a very important scene, I won't disclose more, I'm sorry.
>7. Oscar Isaac's character looks distressed here because they're going for a mission to kill an important protagonist from OT. The "flying-over-the-water" sequence continues as he does a barrel roll and threatens other pilots that he's going to shoot them if they don't revoke the mission.
Have a nice day.
there are too many "official leaks" out there for me too believe this bullshit, sorry mate
nice fake faggot
>>51074801
>mhmmm I believe you, OP
What's the appeal of the Western genre? What can one expect from it? What movies are recommended to first get into it?
The same as capeshit, but with no superpowers
Cowboys & Aliens

Watch "Once Upon a Time in the West" it's fucking great

They made a new Star Wars film trailer. I liked Boyega in Attack The Block and I see him shouldering this film fairly well.

Can't I left mine in ya mum
May the orthodox force be with you!
Design a better lightsaber than the new cross-guard one
Poisonous light, for those sneaky assassinations.
How about a lightsaber paintbrush, you get a nice lightsaber paint pallet when you buy it so you can change the lightsaber colour
I would go to /a/ but what a cancerous board.
What animes have you watched and liked guys?
>>50939969
The one you posted is shit after L dies
I liked Full Metal Alchemist:Brotherhood
oh and I guess Steins;Gate is good, but I recommend reading the VN first
>>50939969
I've been looking into older series and so far Zeta Gundam is a personal favorite. A bit campy in places but if you're watching anime that's to be expected.
>>50940027
nah man I think death note is one of the best animesif not tv showi've ever seen
Ok, right now there are a lot of star wars threads, and a couple of days ago there were a lot of jurassic park ones. But none of them discusses anything related to filmmaking or something remotely like it, So let's try doing that ok?
Teasers. People doesn't seem to get teasers, a teaser is a very short (less than a minute) trailer that must show the tone of the movie, that's the only thing, anything else it's just an extra. The jurassic world teaser? it's a pretty good one because it showed what's going to be the tone of the movie, they calmed down the ones yelling "OH GOD IT'S GOING TO BE A DUMB ACTION THING ISN'T IT?" with just 20 seconds, with the glass shot they said "hey, this is about suspense, this is about slow build ups, this was made by a spielberg fanboy",
the star wars teaser tho? it's not a good teaser, it's a bad trailer. hell it isn't a teaser at all it's like A MINUTE AND A HALF! that's retarded, it shows too much. maybe because JJ is just bad and his movies doesn't have a tone, they just show things happening, usually with handy cam (like the shots of the millenium falcon that are just a copypaste of the shots of the ships in his star trek movies...)
what other recent teasers come to mind as good examples of what a teaser should be? how can we make the star wars teaser better?
>>50964473
>it shows too much
It doesn't show shit.
What did you gather from the story based on that teaser? It just showed a few cool shots to get people talking.
>>50964473
There was a serious discussion about the lightsaber design.
It got deleted with the rest of the star wars threads
>god tier director
>good actor
>smart enough to have been an engineer before he made movies
>completely DIY
>better looking than tons of movie stars
>posts on /tv/
Is there anyone more based than Shane Carruth?
>>50701066
Does he post on /tv?
I read the synopsis for his next story and it sounds interesting but also kind of boring, like not a lot happens.
Shane, can you make a scifi movie similar to Moon? You'd kick ass in telling a story like that.
>>50701066
Shane's a cutie 3.14.
He's an absolute retard for not getting a competent team.
>b-but muh DIY
That's retarded and pretentious.
