I realized this after getting stuck in the dead center of the theatre for the last hunger games, and I walked out without feeling a single kernel crunch underfoot. It's fucking weird. The demographics watching the movie haven't changed from what I remember. Nobody working at the theatre has been there longer than a couple years so they couldn't comment.
But 10, 15 years ago if you had to traverse more than a couple feet of the floor, you were stepping on popcorn.
