Zack Snyder and Christopher Nolan are the only two filmmakers that has directed anything even worth discussing in this genre. Marvel and Sony flicks are literally direct-to-video quality and are completely interchangeable. Man of Steel, by comparison, stands a masterpiece of filmmaking.

Conan looks dead inside next to sarah silverman.
it wasn't so apparent to me after he switched to tbs, but man did he look super depressed during 2012-2014, some major shit must've happened during that time. he seems better now but his ratings are like the worst right now.
None of his sketches are funny and he's on the most irrelevant network.

Not a bad overall movie. Solid entertainment.
I'm going to delve into some big spoilers right off the bat, final warning.
The Force Awakens centers around the story of Kylo Ren, the son of Han Solo and Leia Organa, who is shipped off to study the force with his uncle Luke Skywalker. Kylo thinks the lessons Luke try to teach him are boring. He doesn't see what's wrong with unity under a single galactic banner. When he discovers his grandfather was Darth Vader, he begins experimenting with the dark side. He ultimately reaches out to a band of Darth Vader fanboys called the Knights of Ren and while Luke is away one day leads a massacre of his fellow Jedi in training classmates. Luke returns and finds everyone dead and his nephew missing. The final straw, Luke vows to no longer side in the galactic conflict and retreats to an isolated Star system where he can live out the rest of his days in peace.
Fast forward ten years and Kylo is commanding an army like his grandfather. They're conquering outer rim territories and being left alone due to a rift in the galactic senate. The indecision leads them to decide the First Order is no threat to the Republic, and the outer rim planets are no value to the Republic as well.
General Leia Organa is not ok with this, so she uses her vast resources to fund a guerilla tactic resistance to the First Order.
Whispers abound though that the order has constructed a super weapon capable of destroying entire star systems, and a man on a wasteland called Jakku claims he's in possession of plans for such a weapon, so Leia sends a secret task force to retrieve these plans. It's here that the movie opens.
Lead by the dashing Poe Dameron, the task force is caught in an ambush and only Poe survives. He and his droid BB8 meet with Lor San Tekka and he gives them the plans. The First Order has tracked Poe to this village though and launched a full scale assault to prevent the plans from falling into the hands of the Resistance. Continued...
