Why didn't Marvel use Miles as Spider-Man? They've done Peter before twice already.
>>66968465
I'm expecting the new Spidey to die before Infinity War pt 1, and definitely dead before PT2, where they will bring in Miles.
They'd be fucking stupid not to.
Hollywood is afraid of the BBC
>>66968465
i don't read much comic books, what's interesting with Miles apart from being token black
What the fuck is this movie /tv/? watched it for the first time last night, was honestly confused as to how bad and good it was. Was really surprised to see the almost universal acclaim considering there are just so many hilariously absurd parts of this movie
what gives?
love it tho, 8/10
>hilariously absurd parts
such as?
>>66968350
>What the fuck is this movie?
>what gives?
>love it tho
Kinda answered your own question. It's effectively ridiculous and enjoyable.
>>66968387

>it's a Lorelai walks in on me fucking Rory fantasy episode
I don't get this movie. Maybe it's because I'm a girl but he acts like a giant idiot the whole movie and then gets treated like a hero
>Idiot
Well, while he might be mentally unhealthy and have low IQ, as evident of his childlike handwriting, he is nonetheless, the character who is in touch with reality the most.
You have Betsy, the volunteer for Palantine's campaign (more on him later), who isolates herself from personal relationships, she see's Travis as a case study than a romantic partner (unlike Travis, who, while emotionally immature, is far more honest), then adolescent prostitute, Iris, who thinks she's being edgy and having a better life than being in her parent's authority, when Travis see's the reality of it, the authority over her has merely been switched to a pimp. And finally you have Palantine, who, when Travis drives him to his destination, is shocked and uncomfortable when Travis tells him the problems of the city: degenerate scum. Travis knows this because he also interacts with it (i.e. pornography and junk food).
And besides, the reason he is considered a hero, is because the press used him to create another sensational story. But in reality, he is a hero because he fought for what he believed, for what he deemed good, not for what actually is consider "good" or "bad".
>lol what's a comic antihero
>I'm a grill btw
Miss me yet?

How come nobody ever talks about this movie?Only one I can think of thats like it is Heathers.
Pam Grier is even in it.
>>66967656
>How come nobody ever talks about this movie?
because it was forgettable and not that great
>Only one I can think of thats like it is Heathers
Mean Girls is the heir to "Heathers"
>>66968076
It is forgettable but I like it. In Heathers did they get addicted to making faux suicide/murdering people cause, that shit was ludacris as fuck.
Rey theories.
My favourite at the moment:
She was a force-sensitive kid discovered by Luke.
She trained with Ben Solo.
It was discovered that she was born of the Dark Side of the Force after Palpatine tried to create life like Plagueis did with Anakin (making her a Skywalker in a sense).
It's believed by some that this is the Force trying to fill the void left by Vader.
This throws the Jedi Academy into chaos and some of the less enlightened students want to kill Rey.
Ben FLIPS THE FUCK OUT.
He wipes Rey's memory and strands her on Jakku.
He...

that's actually not bad.
>>66967495
I've literally never heard anything so retarded.
It's a neat theory, but I don't think she needs to be anything, just a no one who Ben Solo saved from death.
Who's excited for episode 8?
I foresee snow, giant worms and bounty hunters.
Not to mention lots and lots of good friends.
an ice planet that's indistinguishable from Hoth only isn't for some reason
>>66967465
I can't wait for Not Cloud City and Linda Calrissian to show upand flirt outrageously with Rey.
>>66967511
>thedubsconfirm
My favourite movies are Amélie and Mulholland Drive.

I want to see how this fuck would deflect bullets coming his way
When you guys have sex on the first date at the movies, do you bring a towel so you don't mess on the theater appliances or just let the staff take care of it?
>>66966829

Is this your attempt to be funny?
Who was the real monster here?
Big Johnman
>>66966754
John Goodman
>>66966754
th-the aliens?
so is this a Sequel to that monster movie from a few years back? With the slushies and everything? I know Abrahams said it wasn't but he lied about Kahn and the Force Awakens, so I don't believe his bullshit anymore.
Might still see it cause I'm a good man fan, but I wanna know, does this connect to the previous film at all?
>>66966709
The only connection is a really tenuous one: Tagruato, who awakened the original monster. Howard (Goodman) worked for Bold Futura, which was a Tagruato company.
The line about monsters coming in many forms is accurate, though.
SANTA CLAUS
>>66966709
Not gonna spoil it but it sorta in a away, but not directly or story wise
Why can't we have another masterpiece like this?
Also Team America thread
>>66966520

>>66966520
We won't until The Book of Mormon is made into a movie. Matt and Trey poured a lot of effort into that musical and it really does show.
