I watched it for the first time today and I think it deserves to be discussed.I vaguely remember /tv/ being pretty divided on it in 2012

My thoughts

Something about the opening felt off. it felt a little poorly written and forced. maybe it's because i'm used to seeing the characters act a certain way, seeing them acting different throws me off, but i can't help but feel like that's not it.
for example, when chuck makes a lawyer joke, the wife's reaction of "uhhh what, oh haha" wasn't very natural

does anybody else feel like the mike's daughter-in-law plotline is only there so that we will have feels when they get threatened or even kidnapped? it seems pretty pointless so far otherwise.
what about victor salamanca (i think that's his name) at the end. i thought it was a good scene.a classic light-hearted threat from one old man to another.

didn't relaly like the courthouse bribery scene very much. i feel like the 'i'm showing him how to be good' is sort of implicit, and it wasted about 7 minutes of the episode.

laslty, i didn't quite know how to interpret this scene. was it that the guy is asking jimmy really shallow questions about his new job? so jimmy sees that becoming a lawyer is more about prestige than about actually practicing law??
I felt the same way at the bathroom scene. The lawyer was telling Jimmy all these horror stories about his own work so I thought it would help Jimmy realize how lucky he is to have the job at Davis and Main. However, after the guy leaves Jimmy is almost looking wistfully after him, as if he misses that old life.
What I really liked about the opening scene (and I think this was intentional) is how similar Chuck and his wife are to Gretchen and Elliot when Walt stalks them in their house in the final episode of BB. Both couples discuss really banal bullshit as the main character waits to arrive on the scene. Sets up some great parallels between Walt and Jimmy as well.

The bathroom scene shows how Jimmy couldn't care less about the perks of his new job and he would rather be back in the mud pit getting thrown up on because it is who he is.
The intro shows how Jimmy ruined Chucks wife for him. Later when he "accidentally" runs into her early in the morning, you can tell how evil he really is. He wants to ruin Kim and Jimmy as pay back.
So I've finally watched the new Mad Max. A big FUCK YOU to all of you who have said its so amazing. Not only does your taste suck but you personally suck as well. I guess I can't stand mainstream Hollywood films anymore. Where is the story? The characters are stupid and suck. The movie is very well executed. It looks good. They knew what they were doing but the story falls so fucking flat. Even porn has a richer story. I rate Mad Max Fury Road a 5 because of the visuals. No one seems to care about a story anymore. If you want to watch a GOOD MOVIE watch Turbo Kid - fuck big budget films.
The main character doesn't say a thing for like 1 hour of the entire film. We don't really learn about the motives of the characters. So Mad Max was supposed to help some kids / abandoned them or didn't help them and now they are hunting them- he let them die. OH NOW HOW DRAMATIC! And they don't really explain this. So mysterious throughout the entire film. Now I REALLY WANT TO SEE A SEQUEL TO THIS TO KNOW ABOUT THIS STORY ASPECT- well fuck you, seriously. So we have an unlikely main character that gets raped for his blood and a white ghost duder who hunts a mysterious chick we don't know anything about who frees some random white chicks who got fucked / were supposed to get fucked by the main evil guy because...she is part of some feminist movement or some crap. All men are evil yadda yadda. So white ghost dude finally reaches femnazi chick, Mad Max fights the femnazi and wants to get rid of white ghost as well and then Mad Max teams up with femnazi and white ghost ALSO TEAMS UP WITH THEM. Mad Max HAD TO because he couldn't keep on driving otherwise - white ghost did it WHY EXACTLY? Later white ghost gets a boner for the red haired chick - I guess that is some character development yet I do not know why he just tagged along in the first place and WHY THEY LET HIM TAG ALONG. he was somewhat of an evil guy- being a dick to Mad Max and wanting to hunt down the chicks. The entire film is just so fucking stupid it hurts my head. I just don't understand why this was so big and so hyped and a lot of AWESOME MOVIES fall flat. HECK there are so many cheesy b movies I enjoy and where I am like BOY I WOULD LOVE TO WATCH THAT ONE AGAIN while with Mad Max it was like "okay I have seen it ONCE- that's enough for a life time".
