Hot Girls Wanted seemed like it could've been as interesting as The Great Happiness Space if they were a bit more varied with their choices in amateur stars, maybe interview the multitude of female porn stars who went on to become porn directors (successful or not) and possibly the avid porn viewers who might be fans of particular stars. I didn't know what I was supposed to feel when most of the screen time consisted of spoiled brats with normal upbringings who felt that the quiet happy lives their parents had were the absolute shittiest ways of living compared to smoking blunts at a sleazy house while making Snapchats of their attempts at freestyling and begrudgingly getting railed by a guy who's old enough to be their dad with a face of pure discomfort. The Great Happiness Space on the other hand had hosts with varying opinions on how they view their customers and how it affects their future relationships should they choose to pursue them (i.e. "I think I have a sickness. I'm phobic... I just can't trust people." vs. "People are lonely and sad. But they are wonderful and shining. They have warm hearts.") while also giving insight on the customers who pursue hosts ("Yes. I am satisfied. Even if it's a happiness I bought with money."). Overall I find the meaning to be very muddled in the process of post-production with flaccid statements that hold no meaning ("Abuse porn sites get more hits than fortune.com and disney.com") or implying questionable practices that more or less don't exist ("Because porn featuring unprotected sex is more popular, many companies now film in cities like Miami" when in reality the Californian studios stayed in California and the Floridian studios continued operations in Florida). All in all it seems like a huge missed opportunity for what could've been an interesting and varied look into the porn industry in a time where porn documentaries are either about fear mongering or glorification. What did /tv/ think of these?

I wouldn't say drop it but I'd agree that it peaks hard in season 2. 3 and 4 take an unnecessary sideplot and turn it into the entire show, and 5 goes a long way to paint Walt as evil then give him a heroic finale because the writers just could not let him stay bad
