I think he will be in the same category to Ledger's in "Villains you actually remember" when the directors cut comes out.
Right now, he was pretty edgy, but his motives aren't very clear. As a comic fan I can fill in the dots, but no one else really can without just assuming.

Can someone explain to me why Kevin Costner had an accent in Batman V Superman but not Man of Steel? In MoS he just sounds like Kevin Costner but in BvS he sounds raspy as shit and straight from the south.
Does altitude do that to your voice? Even then he's dead, so why would it matter?

Even though RotJ was the weakest of the Original Trilogy, the scenes with the Emperor, Vader and Luke in the Throne Room are the highest point, quality-wise, in all of the seven Star Wars movies.

The 11/10 quality of the Luke/Vader/Sheev stuff is what saves the movie, otherwise it's almost phantom menace tier
The new trilogy will never have a scene that equals this in emotion and heartbreak. It is hard to invest emotionally in the silly new characters.
The only thing heartbreaking was how hard Ewan was trying carry that movie.
