Superman flew around with Margot kidder at heights and speeds that should have blew off her dress, at least. She never suffered any ill though. Well in the comics Superman, who isn't totally brain dead as reported, began to understand that there's an electro magnetic resonance that surrounds his body. It's partly why he's as invulnerable as he is and it also explains why his threads tend to remain mostly undamaged regardless of the violence visited on them.
When he's touching Lois he extends this electro magnetic resonance. So for superman, holding Lois would be no different than a weightlifter learning how to hold an egg.
