The tone of the show felt markedly different to me because it was filled with so many scenes of women finally not getting raped and in some instances actually successfully fighting off the patriarchy.
Personally I like where they are going with the Sand Snakes and Ellaria. I love the Dornish characters and I felt like they had such a muddled plot last season. But that's beside the point

Also, the show is picking up the pace. I am actually enjoying the survivors-on-a-boat shtick waaay more than I expected. It's engaging, has the post-apoc feel to it and most importantly it's entertaining.
