Why was this season so weak?
First seasons of anything are generally quite weak, especially in sci-fi, most of it involves world-building and character building.
I'm actually watching TNG right now, I was buying them n Blu-ray as they were released but around season 6 I stopped buying them and only got the last two seasons quite recently.
It's divine on Blu-ray, nothing like I remember.
because roddenberry only got it partially right and needed to be removed for them to get more of the rest.

Thats not how time travel works in it. That happened it was always going to happen you cant change the past with it. Buckbeak survived because he had already, he doesnt die in any timeline. Harry sees himself when he didnt go back in time yet. its a closed loop. plus you have to have the time turner on during the day you travel back in time to, something like that. and its regulated nobody was anticipating what happened
