Why are only 2 out of the 4 main characters on the poster for Half Baked? Dave Chappelle is the main character so it makes sense that he's on there, but the other dude isn't even involved in the story much, he's just comedic relief. What the fuck happened? What's wrong with this show exactly? Recently i seen a lot of people talking shit about that on internet, so I watched that entirely and that was...pretty good.
most of the bad reviews are complains because the characters are assholes, mean with each others and because this is not PC and very edgy....but actually the show was made to be like that, it's not drama, it's comedy, I understand if people find that unfunny but not the complains about stuff the show make on purpose, the most autistic are probably the ones who takes every gags seriously with a dramatic point of view, like if that was important for a supposed continuity and character developpment, this people know they are watching a trash parody?
concerning the movie, for me that was just OKAY, not great but just okay, the animation was crappy with flash because Comedy Central gives a low-budget for that, this was a direct-to-video not made to be a masterpiece anyway.
the only boring moments on the show for me are some A/B plots, like this one about Captain Hero and Spanky on the casino, or Captain Hero and the "cool kids" on the mexican episode but even that was very far from the huge bland quality of current Family Guy.
It's funny. Sometimes too immature and crass, but often witty enough to make up for it.
I liked it but it really was edgy for the sake of being edgy
