Against FMC? I agree it's not as good. Against regular flyers, S9 AP2 will likely kill any flyer. But I believe the Hydra Platforms are better due to being 25 points cheaper than the SPAA and being able to fit three into one choice. Plenty of dakka.
The Stalker is Heavy 3 (1 less) but has Interceptor. It however, does not ignore Jink/SuperSonic and doesn't block Flat Out (at least how I intrpret the rules)
what i'm saying is That I'd much rather have 3 shots at S8 AP3 for a 105 points than 12 TL S7 AP 4 shots at 150
averaged over 2 turns, 6 shots fired, 3 hit, all wound, no saves vs 24 fired, 8 hit, 5 wound, 2 unsaved

DMG for 5e says that in Wuxia rules: Longsword = Katana, but I feel like it should be able to be wielded by Dexterity. Samurai are famous for being quick, right?
Is it too powerful to have a Longsword house-ruled to be wielded by Dexterity?
That's it. I'm sick of all this "Masterwork Bastard Sword" bullshit that's going on in the d20 system right now. Katanas deserve much better than that. Much, much better than that.
I should know what I'm talking about. I myself commissioned a genuine katana in Japan for 2,400,000 Yen (that's about $20,000) and have been practicing with it for almost 2 years now. I can even cut slabs of solid steel with my katana.
Japanese smiths spend years working on a single katana and fold it up to a million times to produce the finest blades known to mankind.
Katanas are thrice as sharp as European swords and thrice as hard for that matter too. Anything a longsword can cut through, a katana can cut through better. I'm pretty sure a katana could easily bisect a knight wearing full plate with a simple vertical slash.
Ever wonder why medieval Europe never bothered conquering Japan? That's right, they were too scared to fight the disciplined Samurai and their katanas of destruction. Even in World War II, American soldiers targeted the men with the katanas first because their killing power was feared and respected.
So what am I saying? Katanas are simply the best sword that the world has ever seen, and thus, require better stats in the d20 system. Here is the stat block I propose for Katanas:
(One-Handed Exotic Weapon)
1d12 Damage
19-20 x4 Crit
+2 to hit and damage
Counts as Masterwork
(Two-Handed Exotic Weapon)
2d10 Damage
17-20 x4 Crit
+5 to hit and damage
Counts as Masterwork
Now that seems a lot more representative of the cutting power of Katanas in real life, don't you think?

I don't think so. I let it happen most of the time because it makes sense with the weapon.
If you run into this dilemma often, you might consider homebrewing various Finesse weapons.
or you could create a feat like Mutant and Mastermind's Finesse Fighter which would allow a character to just use Dex instead of Str on melee weapons regardless of weapon type.

Anyone have much experience with the Hit the Beach mission? My club is doing a D-day event in Mid-June, and I've no idea how to build a list, for either side.
For the allies, it looks like I'd want to mainly max infantry platoons, with a little bit of armour (I like the look of Breaching Groups); for the Axis I just don't know, especially as I'd only have 1400 points to build with. Do I put lots in reserve to avoid the bombardment? Or do I put everything in my Fortified Platoons?

Create Hunting Trap
Conjuration cantrip
Casting Time: 1 action
Range: 60 feet

Duration: Concentration, up to 1 minute
You create a trap on ground that you can see within range. The trap is affixed by a heavy chain to an immobile object, such as a tree or a spike driven into the ground. A creature that steps on the trap must make a Dexterity saving throw or take 1d4 piercing damage and stops moving. Thereafter, until the creature breaks free of the trap, its movement is limited by the length of the chain (typically 3 feet long) A creature can use its action to make a Strength check, freeing itself or another creature within its reach on a success. Each failed check deals 1 piercing damage to the trapped creature.
The spell’s damage increases by 1d4 when you reach 5th level (2d4), 11th level (3d4), and 17th level (4d4).
