How often to Harems appear in your games?
Close to none. Never had a game where a harem played any significance to the story. Mostly just mentioned if at all. Otherwise it is just white knight bait.
Once, quite recently.
They threw bongs at us while we were fighting a big bloke. Slaughtered them afterwards. They were gnolls, though.

“Your highness,” the general made a small bow as he entered the Crown Prince Siegfried Strosvald’s chambers, “I requested an audience. May I be granted some of your grace’s time?”
“You may.” The crown prince stood looking out a window of his guest manor in Messingplatz. Outside were the camps of his army, fresh and strong...

“General Halfrich,” the Crown Prince pretended to be offended, “the army of Strosvald is not an army of apes that all it can do is stand upon a wall and beat its chest. It is a modern army, and modern armies control the flow of battle by attacking. We are not a nation of spears and sieges, we are one with tanks and airplanes.”
Halfrich knew plenty of modern tactics and strategy. He knew that Strosvald’s interpretation of them was merely aping that of the Reich, who had pioneered such warfare. The War of Emrean Liberation was an important lesson in their nation’s...

You are Lieutenant Richter Von Tracht, and you are quite a few things. Tank platoon commander, recently commissioned officer of the 2nd Royal Guards Division, petty nobility and professional princess smuggler. Or whatever you’d call Maddalyn, the noble spawn you had picked up all the way back at the beginning of the war. Nothing had the same punch as princess.
You had recently found out about a smattering of peculiar happenings. Oversized invasive fauna and secretive wizards being the particular things, which would have been incredibly interesting if not for the fact...

“That woman never stops belittling me!” she complained to you. She had changed from her usual fashionable apparel to the coverall of an army mechanic. She had no experience in mechanical upkeep or repair, but she had agreed to assist your new platoon mechanic, Elli, after your recommendation. You presumed it would result in far fewer headaches in the future as she would stop trying to hurtle herself into the frontlines. As much as she liked to pretend otherwise, she knew as little of soldiering as she did of mechanics.
“I don’t mind working under her, I’m not...

First for dark elf ass is best ass
On stalling or quick scoring.
In general you score quick if you have a bunch of KOs and/or your players are in danger of being blocked and injured.
Like wood elves usually won't cage (there's always a chance they get a couple early KOs and they out bash someone), but in general if you have low AV and a chance to score you'll take it.
If you have piece advantage and can cage without too much risk then it's obviously the correct strategy.
Usually stalling will always cost you blocks and amour rolls but it's not uncommon to be...

"But why GURPS?"
1) The splatbooks/worldbooks are universally written by people who know what they're talking about. The Fantasy book is written by archaeologists and historians, the Space book is written by astrophysicists, the Guns book is written by gun experts, etc. The factual mistakes are few and far between, and almost always acknowledged later. They give great advice on how to make believable worlds, how FTL affects society, how magic changes...

I'll give my answer on that question:
1. Because GURPS covers almost all games I care to play, and making a conversion to GURPS usually faster, than learning and entire new system.
2. Because I like combat in GURPS. At it's base it is simple, yet there is enough options to make it as complex as you want it to be. It can give all the spectrum of feelings: from gritty and dangerous combat with "one mistake - one corpse" to heroic battle with lots of HP and good defences from either side, "swing...

For all you out there on the spectrum or who game with someone diagnosed as such, how has traditional gaming affected you?
Do you feel it helps or hinders with your ability to socialize with others? Does the use of roleplay as an insulator for personal interaction play into it much? Or has it just been a way to meet and connect with people?
Stories welcome, both horrible and heartwarming.
Touhoufag please go.
I am a DM with Autism. I hope my players don't suffer too much
>>44423662
I'm on the spectrum. I was pretty bad as a child, but throughout my teens learned to be high functioning. The other players (D&D) just thought my retard breakdowns were RP. Everyone is autistic when they play games. Socializing is hard, but if you know the DM it's easier. You can mainly ignore the players, but if you are unfamiliar with the game master, it's hard to communicate.

Alright, more work has been done on the Fusilier (And especially the additional discoveries that are not limited to it.)
It is, however, still very much a work in progress. Any thoughts on general power/issues would be highly appreciated.
The Fusilier is a warrior-alchemist, working without extracts but with great skill with blade, bomb and gun.
Can someone explain the point of this "failing forward" meme to me?

That's a nice badwrongfun rant, but have you considered the fact that it's none of your business?
It's not a meme, the only people that do it are people playing heavily narrative focused games.
The only meme here is ypu trying to show how hard core and old school you are, when nobody is complaining but you.
>pancakes the thread
This is popular? I don't really see this done that often, or advocated for.
What I see far more often is people who just go "rolls don't matter, I lie to players about outcomes and DC, and such".
How do you deal with immature little shits who try to shoehorn modern morals into fantasy and get whiny OOC when they get told they can't?
>>44409614
Who plays with such faggots?

Is it fantasy or historical fiction?
If it's historical fiction, then fine, you can be as grimdark medieval as you want.
If it's fantasy, you're under no obligation to do that. Fantasy with modern morals - social equality and individual freedoms, for instance - is still fantasy. You can also be as grimdark fascist as you like.
It's fantasy. Just because their fantasy isn't your fantasy doesn't make them immature little shits. It just means you like different sub-genres.
Welcome to Academy City. The time is evening, the weather is stormy, and the date is February 1.

That's it. I'm sick of all this "Masterwork Lightsaber" bullshit that's going on in the Star Wars system right now. Shock Batons deserve much better than that. Much, much better than that.

LONG LIVE THE OLD WORLD
Adversary is a new, custom format for Magic: The Gathering intended to be played over Cockatrice.
35 Adversaries and counting!
>How is it played?
In Adversary, players select an Adversary card from an existing archive, or create their own. These Adversaries enter play from turn one, and possess abilities that change the way the game is played. If you've ever tried out Vanguard, you'll feel right at home. Adversary uses 61-card decks (including the Adversary card).
The format is Modern Singleton, and the banlist can be...

For a limited time, proposed Adversaries will only be added to the .xml file if they are pitched by people who have played at least one Adversary match on Cockatrice. This is to encourage playing as well as creating, since both are just as important in helping the format to grow. If you've played a match but you've already had three or more of your Adversaries added to the .xml, people with less than three accepted Adversaries will take priority. This restriction will be removed after the next update.
