I'm looking at this game and the last 2 starts he's made and there's a clear difference between his 89mph slider that has lateral spin and the 91-95mph fastball that cuts and rises. Whatever that 95mph pitch is, is just a fastball variant, looks like a cross seam but definitely doesn't have lateral spin which makes it a fastball and not a slider. Good fucking pitch but Idk how anyone could confuse it for a slider.

his WHIP is below average for a closer and would be average if he was a starter it's 1.1 when people like Kenley Jansen and Davis have a WHIP of 0.76 and not to mention that Kenley will strikeout 10 batters before he walks one (8 walks in 80 innings with 90K's)
Closer ERA doesn't matter as much as it does for a starter because they pitch so little innings and 3 or 4 bad outings will ruin the ERA.
When dues like kershaw, Darvish, and Sale as starters can post a K/9 of 11.5-11.9 you better fucking post a k/9 of 15 when you're only making 3 outs and throwing 103mph.
Idk why you would want to take Miller out of that role just because Chapman throws harder and looks more attractive.
