Listen, this Reebok deal is the best thing in the world, not only for the UFC, for the athletes in the sport. These guys get paid every time they go out and fight in the Reebok gear. Reebok is sponsoring a lot of the athletes. There could be a Michael Jordan in this group that ends up with a long-term relationship with Reebok. Change in MMA always causes drama, but this is going to be an amazing thing for the fighters. I mean seriously dude, if you've ever watched a UFC event and seen the stuff that they used to walk out in this is a home run. I have 2 McGregor fight kits. You won't believe how light the clothes are, like the shorts. You see a lot of people used to drop their shorts to weigh in. Half of these guys weigh in with this stuff and it doesn't even affect the scale.
We look at this deal five or 10 years down the road, there will never be a situation where we look back on it and say 'they shouldn't have done that.' Bottomline, this is good for the fighters, the company, and the sport as a whole.
Trying to remember here, how many sponsors had the UFC gotten into conflict with? There was definitely Affliction and RVCA, and I think they had a falling out with one of the early gambling sponsors too.
