Funny thing is I actually like Ronda but her attitude going into this fight was so despicable and Holm was putting on such a clinic it was hard not to root for her. Holm looked absolutely fantastic in there and I was losing my shit when she got that takedown on Ronda and got out of the Armbar.

Same here. I've been a fan of Rousey and really loved seeing her develop. The way she ran through Davis, McMann, and Zingano was top notch. Ronda Rousey seemed like the most dominant MMA champion ever but largely because, as most MMA fans knew, her competition was lousy in comparison. It's not to say her run wasn't incredible but most of us saw many serious holes in her game, primarily in the striking and footwork departments. She was a juggernaut type fighter who rushed in and overwhelmed her opponents without much grace or style.
In short Silva's game was always much harder to process and figure out than Rousey's. Silva's KO was much more stunning than Rousey's because it took so much more to figure him out and execute a game plan against him.
HH's victory is nothing short of impressive though. She deserves all her props. This comparison also just shows how much more the team captain deserves to be respected and appreciated.

I truly cannot see her come back from this. IT WAS BRUTAL. Silva had a clear cut weakness in his skills though - wrestling - and Weidman exploited that in the first round to land some solid ground and pound.
