I was really impressed by @_hollyholm 's respect and grace she showed inside the @ufc octagon last night. One thing that threw me off was how classless, arrogant and disrespectful @rondarousey was. Didn't stick around to interview after the fight to pay respect to her opponent. When Ronda wins she talks shit to her opponents after, Holly stands at the feet of her opponent to make sure she is ok. At one point a few years back, every American fighter in the UFC had a wrestling background. And a substantial number of Brazilians had a bjj background.
It depends on how you define grappling/wrestling wins, though. Currently, striking seems to be making bigger strides toward winning mma fights, very few fighters can get to the upper echelon without at least a serviceable striking game anymore.
