I'm sorry guys. As an American of mexican descent I've rooted for Argentina since 1993 when I was a 4 year old kid because everyone I knew rooted for Brazil. Even though he didn't play then I was a huge fan of Maradona and wanted the best for his NT since my NT was (and still is, and will continue to be) shit. Also I hate how Brazil always gets ref preference no matter where they play.
Anyway after watching the Mexican league when I was still a kid I started rooting for Cruz Azul after they won their championship in 1997. They haven't won a championship since. Though to be fair referees always tend to favor whichever team opposes Cruz Azul and people can vouch for me on this one.
